Southeast Regional Director
Chris Drumm began working at the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport in February 1998 and began his current role as Airport Operations Manager in March 2007. Chris was previously employed at smaller community airports and various airport management firms, holding positions in both Airport and FBO Operations. During his time at the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport, Chris has been involved in several large scale airport expansions including two separate runway lengthening projects which also included apron and taxiway expansions. Most recently, Chris was involved with a runway widening project and full airfield electrical upgrade; all while maintaining airport operations.
In addition to the airport, Chris is also a part-time faculty at Georgian College where he has been teaching in the Aviation Management program for over 7 years. He is also a regular guest lecturer at the College as well as a member of the Georgian College Aviation Management Advisory Board.
Chris holds an Advance Diploma in Aviation Management from Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology as well as a Certificate in Bilingual Training from College Boreal; he also holds a Private Pilot’s License.
Chris comes from a long lineage of aviation enthusiast where his grandfather, his father and brother all worked and continue to work in the aviation industry.
Chris looks forward to his role on the AMCO Board of Directors and is excited to see this industry continue to grow and prosper.
