Giovanna Verrilli

Giovanna Verrilli joined the Greater Sudbury Airport as Chief Executive Officer in August 2022, following more than 13 years at Toronto Pearson International Airport and the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

At Toronto Pearson, Giovanna initiated several commercial modernization programs as part of its concessions and terminals improvements plans.  Bringing to life a globally recognized concession program and leading the development of a strategic sponsorship business and innovative advertising program.

Throughout her career at Toronto Pearson, Giovanna has held a variety of roles from creating a new Commercial Agreement Administration department to building passenger programs designed to enhance the passenger experience. As Director of Commercial Development, she has built and executed a strategic plan for the development, design, and construction of the non-aeronautical portfolio while prioritizing relationship management and operational excellence.  She led a team responsible for delivering $500 Million+ in sales and $110 Million+ in non-aeronautical revenue while enhancing the offers and diversity of program available to passengers. She supports a true partnership model whereby the team works closely with airport and community partners towards a common goal to continuously improve the airport and passenger experience.

Born and raised in Sudbury, Giovanna completed her Bachelor of Commerce and MBA from Laurentian University and enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 (very busy!) teenaged boys.
